The Mack's are expanding our crew! We found out New Years Eve that we are expecting a lil one on September 10th. This a picture of me at 6 months along on my Birthday. I am getting bigger everyday and I hope the twins comments cease. There is only 1 baby on the Ultra Sound. The fantastic thing about the due date is that the Notre Dame and Michigan Game is on September 12th. I grew up a Notre Dame fan and that is who I rooted for when Chris met me. I still like them to do well but have been brain washed/ convinced into rooting for the Wolverines in their match up. Friends I have had for years get confused when they see me donned in the maize and blue on this game day. So its quite fitting that Baby Mack will arrive around game time. We are both very excited and hope to keep you all updated on all the fun stuff to come!

Bye Bye Appendix!
Well the new "Mack" news is that I just got out of the hospital. I went in Monday for lower right abdominal pain and lo and behold it was my appendix. I was sooo happy to be released! I have to be one of the WORST hospital patient's ever! I may have handled it better if Palos Hospital had wireless internet connection in the room. I was a much nicer patient at Prentice Hospital where I could get my email from my recovery bed. I was treating my stay as a "Painful Fat Farm". I am really hoping that I lost at least 5 pounds from this experience. So wish me luck in home bound recovery. I will hopefully be back to my ol self in a few weeks. I am going to take this process a bit slow because I do not want to end up back in the hospital and trust me, those nurses do not want me back. On Thursday Morning, when there was a good chance I was not going to be released, I went to that dark, ugly and mean place that most of us have. Mine is not pretty for those of you who have never experienced it- ask Chris, my Mom or Becca. They have witnessed it before. When they heard the tone in my voice and some of the language I was using in morning hours they all probably braced for the worst. Luckily the good news came and my doctor gave me an extra painful procedure before I left to slap me back into "Happy to be Home and Have People Who Love Me Stacey" Other than having too much TV time on my hands to watch my favorite sports teams lose I am doing well so far. The Cubs?!!! I have been really trying to keep my screaming to a minimum b/c it does hurt a bit when I do. Maybe the Bears have heard my news and they will get a win for me!

CrossFit? What's CrossFit?

I thought since we have been asking for family and friend donation's for the CrossFit Charity Event on September 27th we should explain what it is we are doing. If you ever want to get into a 60 minute plus conversation with Chris just ask him about CrossFit. He has been doing the program for over a year now. He thinks, breathes and lives it. He is crabby when he has to miss his Workout of the Day. "Every day downloading my workout is like Christmas" - This is an actual Chris Mack quote. (Opposites apparently attract) The results are obvious by the above picture of him doing a workout. I have needed to get back in shape for awhile and the Charity Event for Prostate Cancer on the 27th was just the kick in the tush I needed (kinda literally since that area physically hurts right now from the above workout) As many of you know, 2 of my Grandparent's died of different forms of Cancer so I take raising money for the disease very seriously. If you would like to cheer us on or be entertained while we workout and you take pictures for posterity please come join us at The Human Race Sports in Orland Park at 9:00AM on Saturday September 27th. Who knows... you may actually want to partake in the workout. If you are unable to come but would like to support please visit the donation site and support your favorite "Mack"

If you are interested in CrossFit and would like to know more about it here is the gym where Chris is a regular, I just started and new members are always welcome http://www.hotsidecf.com/
And for any of you Educational Types here is the actual definition of the workout program. CrossFit: Is the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide. The program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. The CrossFit specialty is not specializing. Combat, survival, many sports, and life reward this kind of fitness and, on average, punish the specialist.
Wish Me Luck!!

Dreyfus News
Well......he likes it but sometimes it seems that he misses the condo in the city. Since the condo didn't have any stairs, and our house has 2 sets of stairs. He sits there and watches us to see if he actually needs to make the effort to actually come down the stairs. The only time he has zero hesitation is meal time then he is like a Pup again!
